Chad McClellan
Choir Director
Chad McClellan, Choir Director at First Presbyterian Church of Leesburg, is a Florida native with a lifelong passion for music. He studied classical voice with Curtis Rayam and conducting with Dr. John Sinclair at Rollins College. Mr. McClellan’s career includes teaching choir and piano in Orange County Public Schools, where he nurtured students’ musical growth.
In addition to his role with the church, he serves as Director of A Gift for Music and Vice President of Encore Performing Arts and has been a longstanding leader within the Orlando Choral Society, where he has held roles as President and Marketing Chair since 2009. Mr. McClellan also founded the Sounds Like Chicken A Cappella group in 2008, and currently serves as Artistic Director for the Legacy Chorale and King’s Ridge Singers.
His musical contributions to the Central Florida community extend to his involvement in the Sigma Eta chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, where he was founding president, and his active memberships in the American Choral Directors Association, Florida Vocal Association, Florida Music Educators Association, Barbershop Harmony Society, and the Garden Community Choir. Mr. McClellan is also a dedicated Big Brother in Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
