The Presbyterian Church (USA) is a mainline Protestant Christian denomination in the United States and around the world. A part of the Reformed Tradition, it is the largest Presbyterian denomination in the U.S., and known for its relatively progressive stance on doctrine. The PC(USA) was established by the 1983 merger of the Presbyterian Church in the United States, whose churches were located in the Southern and border states, with the United Presbyterian Church in the United States of America, whose congregations could be found in every state. The PC(USA) has more than 1,7 million members in some 10,000 congregations and worshipping communities. See www.pcusa.org for more.
Our regional partnership with the national church is through Central Florida Presbytery. CFP is a council of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), one of six presbyteries in Florida. The Mission of Central Florida Presbytery Is:
"to equip, strengthen, and support congregations in their ministries in service to Jesus Christ and to unite congregations in discipleship, mission, and fellowship in order to work together to accomplish the tasks that no one congregation can accomplish alone."
