Rev. RJ Leek’s faith journey began at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Berea, Ohio. It was here he was baptized, received his third grade Bible, and started learning the wonderful stories of God’s faithfulness and Love.

Early in life, Rev. Leek’s family moved to Port Charlotte, Florida, where he became active in First Presbyterian of Port Charlotte. Rev. Leek was a regular attendee of youth group, Sunday School, worship service and special events. First Presbyterian had a great impact on the formation of his faith and future profession. While attending a mission trip with the youth group, Rev. Leek started to sense a call to ministry.

Upon graduating high school, Rev. Leek attended Warner University in Lake Wales, Florida majoring in Church Studies. Two special events happened to Rev. Leek at Warner University. Rev. Leek believed the call God placed on his life was confirmed. Just as important to the confirmation of this call was meeting his future wife, Trisha. After college, Rev. Leek and Trisha attended Dubuque Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa.

Rev. Leek has served Presbyterian churches in Illinois, Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania. He has served as Associate Pastor, Head of Staff, Youth Director and, occasionally, church gardener. Rev. Leek’s favorite moments in ministry are watching how God changes a life, churches working together in relationship with community, and laughing with the children during children’s time in worship services.

Rev. Leek has been happily married to Trisha for 28 years. They have three children, Claire, Robbie, and Chloe. Trisha is a school teacher in Lake County. Claire is teaching in Lake County also. Robbie currently a firefighter in Sanford, Florida and Chloe attends UCF in Orlando.

Rev. Leek loves to travel with his family. He is a long-suffering Cleveland Browns fan. Rev. Leek likes to lift weights, talk theology, politics, history and anything football. He is also a Star Wars Fanatic.
